...So, where was i?

oh, yeah, well, what can i say? Things got a little...   umm..  busy..   (insert insane laughter effect of your choice here)  so unfortunately updates have been more than a little sparse over the last couple of months and for that i apologise. It certainly wasn't intentional, just life getting in the way.

So what has your favourite unsung heroine been up to the last couple of months?  Well, after all the incompetence led f#*k-ups of getting my security licence sorted, i'm finally out bouncing again ^_^  (sorry, i'm working as a 'door supervisor' - we're not allowed to be bouncers anymore...   twats...) at one of Bristol's biggest nightclubs and having a whale of a time!!  I remember enjoying the job when i moonlighted in my 20's but it's a whole different world now doing it full time!  As a dedicated student of human nature and the human condition in general it's a f#*king awesome place to people watch :3
Indeed, that's most of the job. Watching people, seeing how they're acting and reacting and looking for those little changes in body language and the motion of the world around them that means they're going to kick off and intercepting them before they get too far (and generally opening the door with their face if they're still fighting you). It's a really enjoyable and rewarding job, you see a lot of the worst of people but it's fascinating..

On the other side of the crazy fence, i've finally put my money where my (excessively exuberant) mouth is and tied up all the loose and flailing threads of my fighting art that i've been working tirelessly on for the last 10 years (no, honestly, this has been a massive amount of work and dedication and probably the only thing in my life i've ever taken 100% seriously) and opening classes to teach it. We start next month. It's going to be life changing, not just for myself but i hope for a lot of other people.

Next, onto the art and comic front. Stuff is still (slowly) being churned out, i've a load of sketches to post up and new HM will be up this week. New books are looking to be released for the Leeds show - Yatta!
The site's still in a state of flux, so sorry about that, i'm still trying to lock down the layout while cranking out 3 other websites..  why do i do this to myself?
Anyway, things should all come together pretty soon.

...and i think that's about it for the moment, party's have been partied, con's have been conn'd and i'm looking forward to a very exciting autumn ^_^

London Film and Comic    --   18 July 2011

Well, firstly I'd just like to say a big thank you to all the lovely people who came up and spoke to me at London Film and Comic. I had an awesome time (although I was adrift in a sea of Manga). It was a real shame Angel Von Krum couldn't be there in person.

Nextly I'd like to point out that Brown Bottle Bear is almost done. The pencils are finished ant 75% of it is inked. Sorry to those of you looking for it at LFC, I just couldn't get it ready and I really, really don't want to rush it.

So the best part of LFC? seeing Jean Luc Picard photographing Superman reading Hentai. Brilliant.

Take care!
